Levels of contamination were considered free product, and approximately 80 tons of free product level soil was removed in order to achieve site closure. Alpha completed site cleanup to address soil and groundwater contamination from a leaking underground storage tank. Based on the contaminant levels, soil removal was required before the site could be closed with a risk-based study including vapor intrusion analysis with a soil-gas sample. In spite of the removal of almost 25 tons of contamination and a sewer line running over the top of the excavation, Alpha was able to restore the site to conditions which became almost undetectable by the time the house sold less than 3 months later.
