Cleanup of Heating Oil Tank – NE Portland
Alpha performed soil removal and a risk assessment for a leaking underground storage tank. The tank was located beneath the building and the footers of the foundation. Using structural engineering controls, Alpha was able to remove the majority of the contamination, and successfully completed the cleanup without having to impact the interior of the building. Backfilling of the excavation also included oversight and approval by a geotechnical firm to minimize future structural issues.
