Cleanup of Heating Oil Tank – SW Portland
Alpha performed assessment for a leaking underground heating oil tank which had impacted groundwater. Alpha removed approximately 20 tons of soil, pumped out and disposed of over 4,000 gallons of water, performed a groundwater delineation consisting of downgradient, crossgradient, and upgradient groundwater sampling, a beneficial water use study and risk assessment. Alpha backfilled the excavation and compacted the soil under the oversight and approval of a geotechnical firm to insure that potential soil settling would be minimal.
