Site Remediation/Compliance – Government Camp, Oregon
Alpha provided remediation services to satisfy the U.S Forest Service’s concerns with heavy oil spills on the property. The U.S Forest Service originally visited the property and noticed leaking machinery without regulated controls. Their concerns, warranted the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality’s involvement, and after further discussion with the client and both State agencies, developed and remediation site concerns. An Alpha registered geologist assessed the site and collected samples in order to formulate a comprehensive work plan. Once the plan was approved, Alpha mobilized excavation equipment to the site to being cleanup efforts. Under the supervision of Alpha’s geologist and the U.S. Forest Services, Alpha completed the cleanup and received approval from the U.S. Forest Service to close the file on the site in only one day.
