Job Description:

Perform residential service work including inspection, maintenance, repair and installation of plumbing systems while following our processes for high-level customer service.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Must be willing to follow our service call system that requires technicians to inspect, diagnose, communicate service options to customer, and then perform any desired repair or installation required up to code.
• Perform accurate and complete plumbing system safety inspection and communicate any and all findings to customer.
• Must be able to clearly educate customers by thoroughly explaining recommended options.
• Must be willing and able to use provided smartphone and tablet systems to accurately complete paperwork consistently.
• Must be capable of clearly and consistently meeting provided expectations for communicating with dispatcher (debriefing, phone, text, email, notes.)
• Must be able to perform basic calculations necessary for plumbing work as well as calculations necessary for invoicing.
• Must be willing and able to follow provided expectations for collecting payment and assisting customers in completing easy-to-use financing application.
• Must comply with all safety standards and processes.
• Must implement and manage required customer follow up responsibilities in line with provided procedure and expectations.
• Are expected to uphold basic professionalism including but not limited to:
• Being on time to work and dispatched jobs
• Wear the provided clean company uniform
• Perform after-hours work and on-call duty as scheduled.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Currently licensed as a journeyman plumber with the State of Oregon.
• Minimum of 3 years experience
• Valid Oregon driver’s license.

Working Environment:

Must be able to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting equipment, bending, standing, climbing, frequent kneeling and significant fine motor dexterity. Must be able to safely use manual tools and power equipment common in the plumbing trade.

We are looking for a CDL Septic Pump Truck Driver, this position is responsible for operating a company pump truck and driving to various locations to service/pump septic tanks.

Location of Position is Beaverton, OR

Technician Services

  • Provide professional service to customers
  • Communicate schedule problems to dispatch before appointments are missed
  • Call into the Dispatch team when done with daily jobs
  • Comply with rules & regulations at disposal plants
  • Fully complete paperwork, pricing, locations, conditions
  • Confirm all supplies are loaded on the truck
  • Review and map out next day jobs
  • Daily DOT forms to be completed: pre & post trip, septic tank inspection
  • Use the tank’s main access (largest opening) for routine cleaning
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed

Customer Relations

  • Notify the customer when sewage flows into the tank from the drainage area.
  • Observe and note defective septic system components on work order
  • Notify the customer when lush vegetation and/or sewage breakout are observed above the septic system
  • If you observe flow from building into tank, advise the customer corrective action for any obstructions
  • Recommend any Maintenance or Service
  • Discuss and recommend adequate maintenance service frequency with the customer
  • Notify the customer in writing of any unsatisfactory conditions observed
  • Notify the customer in advance if your running late
  • Attend training opportunities as requested
  • Special/Other projects as assigned by management.

Work Environment for a CDL Tank Truck Driver

  • Required to exert physical effort removing hoses from truck, pulling hoses into position, and lifting hoses back onto truck
  • Required to remove and lift septic tank and manhole lids
  • When necessary, required to dig into ground to gain access to tank lid
  • Will work outdoors and drive a GPS monitored truck
  • Will be exposed to physical labor, weather, odors, noise or similar elements

LICENSES:

  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class CDL A or B with endorsement and the ability to drive a sick shift vehicle).

Applicants MUST have experience driving a stick shift (8-10 gear) transmission in a commercial vehicle GCWR 26,001 or greater.

Experience:

  • Septic Tank Pumping: 1 year (Required)
  • (Class CDL A or B with tanker endorsement and air brake restriction removed)

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Required)

Typically will be driving a truck with a trailer and need to have a proper driver’s license and at least 1 year operating a machine.

Also, there will be a machine operating test prior to hire. Wage dependant upon experience.

$21.00 – $27.00 per hour based on experience in the field
  • Must have Oregon Asbestos Supervisor card
  • Supervisor, work, and complete asbestos abatement projects
  • Communicate effectively and work with difficult people under high stress situations
  • Be a self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others
  • Assist in labor intensive duties on jobsite, including taping, lifting, loading, unloading and bagging material

Responsibilities:

Alpha Environmental is seeking a Master Electrician for our mechanical services in Portland, OR. The Master Electrician is responsible for performing routine, preventive and corrective maintenance and ensuring that the work is performed in a safe and professional manner by following established safety, operating, and emergency response procedures.

Specific duties include:
• Performs all routine, preventive and corrective maintenance assignments on electrical systems, as well as the electrical components of mechanical and hydraulic systems, up to and including 480 volts.
• Performs insulation resistance tests on electrical equipment using megohmmeter and hypot machine.
• Maintaining accurate and current documentation of all modifications, calibrations, and installations of instruments, control devices, and electrical and test equipment.
• Repairs and splices electrical cable using approved splicing kits.
• Performs ground resistance tests on all grounding systems using ground resistance meter.
• Performs activities associated with the infra-red analysis programs.
• Performs troubleshooting and repair of motor controls.
• Repairs all lighting, power and control circuits.
• Installs and sets up electrical systems for new equipment.
• Maintains an inventory control of electrical spare parts.
• Performing all work in a safe and professional manner by following established safety, operating, and emergency response procedures.

Qualifications:
• Must have completed high school level courses and five years’ experience in industrial/commercial electrical, instrumentation and/or electronics.
• Must possess a valid Master Electrician license and a valid Journeyman Electrician license Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Requires good reading, math, writing, and verbal communication skills; a good scientific and mechanical aptitude; and the ability to read, interpret, and record data from meters, gauges, scales, panels, and other equipment.
• Requires the ability to carry out verbal and written instructions.
• Must be able to lift and carry 40 pounds while walking distances of 25 feet.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license, have a safe driving record, and be able to operate vehicles with automatic transmission and four-wheel drive.
• Must be willing to work schedules which may include weekend or holiday duty, carry a company provided cell phone, and be willing to respond to rain events and emergencies at any time.
• Requires working in outside and inside environments with noise and all temperatures and climatic/ environmental conditions; and must be able to work under adverse weather conditions for extended periods of time. Must work in confined spaces and with wastewater and wastewater treatment equipment.
