What To Expect From Your Asbestos Roof Test

Arrival & Explanation

Alpha’s asbestos roofing specialists will arrive at your home and explain the testing process. We will perform a few routine inspections of the roof and explore potential access points.

Information

The specialists may ask if the home was built prior to the 1990s. This helps determine the likelihood of asbestos presence on your roof by providing us an idea of the material types used during your homes construction.

Preparation & Sampling

The specialists will suit up and make their way onto your roof. They will draw samples of known areas where asbestos may reside. This includes shingles, underlayment, etc.

Laboratory

The results will be sent to an accredited laboratory for asbestos assessment. There, your samples will undergo testing to determine if there is asbestos and at what levels.

Results

Once the testing has been completed, we will send you a detailed report via email or mail. A member of our asbestos team will contact you to go over the results and discuss next steps.
